WOMEN'S BASKETBALL BEGINS BIG SKY TOURNEY JOURNEY ON MONDAY
March 06, 2022After far exceeding preseason expectations, Sacramento State will start its postseason journey against Weber State at the Big Sky Tournament in Boise, Idaho on Monday, March 7, at 4:30 p.m. PT. The Hornets are seeded seventh in the tournament after closing the regular season with a 10-10 conference record. Weber State, which is seeded 10th, posted a 6-14 mark in league games. -

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HOSTS MONTANA FOR SENIOR NIGHT ON FRIDAY
March 03, 2022Friday night will serve as the season home finale for Sacramento State when the team welcomes Montana to The Nest at 7 p.m. The Hornets will recognize five seniors before the game and then will take on the Griz in a contest which could decide the difference between playing on Monday or Tuesday to start the upcoming Big Sky Tournament. -

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL BEGINS FINAL WEEK AGAINST MONTANA STATE ON WEDNESDAY
March 01, 2022The Big Sky Conference will wrap up play this week with games on Wednesday and Friday with a lot still to play for. The Hornets are currently sixth in the Big Sky standings but are just two games out of third place and guaranteed to be now lower than seventh in the next week’s Big Sky Tournament in Boise, Idaho. With one more win, the Hornets will tie for the largest year-to-year improvement by a Big Sky Conference team. -
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NEVER TRAILS TO EARN ROAD WIN AT EWU, 67-58
February 26, 2022The Sacramento State women’s basketball team jumped out to a quick start and never looked back en route to a 67-58 win at Eastern Washington on Saturday afternoon. The Hornets led 22-9 after the first quarter and never trailed in the game while improving to 14-13 overall and 10-8 in the Big Sky Conference. -
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TAKES ON EAGLES ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON
February 25, 2022The Sacramento State women’s basketball team will play its final road game of the regular season as the team heads to Eastern Washington on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m. The Hornets will enter the game with a 13-13 overall record and are 6-7 in road games. The team most recently lost at Idaho on Thursday to suffer its third-straight setback. The team has not lost more than three in a row at any point this season. -

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL STARTS FINAL ROAD TRIP AT IDAHO ON THURSDAY
February 23, 2022The Sacramento State women’s basketball team will begin its final road trip of the regular season when it plays at Idaho on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 6 pm PT. The game will mark the team’s first appearance at the new ICCU Arena in Moscow, Idaho. The Hornets are 6-6 in road games this season, including a 5-3 mark in Big Sky road games. The team will also play at Eastern Washington on Saturday. -
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL MEETS FIRST-PLACE IDAHO STATE ON SATURDAY
February 19, 2022With just five games remaining on the Big Sky schedule, Sacramento State has established itself fas one of the better teams in the league. After losing its first four league games of the year, the Hornets are 9-2 since. That span includes a win at Idaho State which is the defending conference champion. Three of the five teams left on the schedule have winning conference records and all five have won at least five Big Sky games this year. -

February 17, 2022Despite a career-high tying 29 points from Lianna Tillman, the Sacramento State women’s basketball team was never able to get on track in a 62-52 loss to Weber State on Thursday at The Nest. -
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL BEGINS HOMESTAND AGAINST WEBER STATE ON THURSDAY
February 16, 2022Sacramento State is 9-1 in its last 10 games with its lone loss coming in a 79-76 road setback on Jan. 29. The Hornets will have a chance to avenge that loss when they welcome the Wildcats to The Nest on Thursday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. In that game, Sacramento State overcame a 12-point third-quarter deficit to take a four-point lead late in the fourth. However, Emma Torbert sunk a three with 19 seconds to go to give the Wildcats the win. -

February 05, 2022The Sacramento State women’s basketball team earned its seventh victory in its last eight games with a 73-62 win over Portland State on Saturday at The Nest. The Hornets were led by 27 points from Lianna Tillman and 23 points and 17 rebounds from Isnelle Natabou. Senior Summer Menke also became the 15th player in school history to have 1,000 career points with 13 points. -
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL WELCOMES PORTLAND STATE ON SATURDAY
February 04, 2022Sacramento State will make a brief stop at The Nest as the team hosts Portland State on Saturday for a noon tip (NOTE: the game was previously scheduled for 2 p.m.). The game comes after the Hornets played three consecutive road contests and proceeds two more away from home. Sacramento State has won its last three home games and is 5-2 at The Nest this season. -
