  • HORNET STUDENT-ATHLETES EARN 216 ALL-ACADEMIC AWARDS FOR 2020-21 ACADEMIC YEAR

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento State student-athletes combined to receive 216 academic all-conference awards across 21 different sports for the 2020-21 academic year. The Hornets earned 74 all-academic honors in the fall, 45 in the winter, and another 97 in the spring. 
  • DUNCAN, MARSHALL GUIDE CROSS COUNTRY AT BIG SKY CHAMPIONSHIPS

    The Sacramento State cross country teams wrapped up an abbreviated spring season on Saturday at the Big Sky Championships. The Hornet women were led by Cagnei Duncan while Shane Marshall had the fastest time for the men.
  • CROSS COUNTRY TO COMPETE AT BIG SKY CHAMPIONSHIPS ON SATURDAY

    The Sacramento State men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete at the 2020 Big Sky Championships on Saturday, Feb. 27, in Riverdale, Utah. The meet, which is closed to spectators, will begin with the women’s 5K at 12:15 p.m. PT. The men’s 8K contest will get underway at 1 p.m. PT.
  • VICTOR, MARSHALL BOTH RECORD TOP FIVE FINISHES AT JESSUP INVITATIONAL

    Rachel Victor placed third in the women’s race and Shane Marshall was fifth to in the men’s competition to lead the Sacramento State cross country teams at the William Jessup Invitational on Saturday morning. The meet was first race for the Hornets since the NCAA West Regional in November of 2019.
  • CROSS COUNTRY TO START 2020-21 SEASON AT WILLIAM JESSUP INVITATIONAL ON SATURDAY

    The Sacramento State cross country teams will make their 2020-21 season debut on Saturday at the William Jessup Invitational in Rocklin, Calif. The meet is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. with the women’s 5K race and the me’s 8K race will get underway at approximately 10:15 a.m. Both races will be closed to spectators.
  • BIG SKY CONFERENCE POSTPONES ALL FALL SPORTS UNTIL SPRING

    Due to ongoing concerns related to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the Big Sky Conference is postponing all competition for its fall sports to spring 2021. The conference’s Presidents’ Council convened Aug. 12 to affirm this recommendation from its members’ athletic directors.
